With an extraordinary willpower, he visited over 200 schools to share his "Challenge ALS" story, inspiring more than 200,000 students and teachers in Taiwan and mainland China to "speak of strength." The suffering caused by the South China floods deeply shocked him, and from then on, he devoted himself entirely to voluntary poverty alleviation work in the mountainous regions of the mainland. He established the Grace Charity, with the belief of "no politics, no religious discussions, wholeheartedly and steadfastly contributing to the educational cause in the impoverished mountainous areas of our motherland." 34 years ago, life gave Zong Jingyi an unexpected gift: a daughter with severe intellectual disabilities and autism. For her child, she fully devoted herself to the self-help movement for disadvantaged and disabled individuals and began various advocacy campaigns with other disability organizations. Later, together with other parents, she raised funds and established Taiwan's first foundation dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual disabilities, the "Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation." The foundation provides professional services such as special education, rehabilitation, day care, housing, and employment, with the goal of ensuring that these children have equal opportunities in society.

In the makeshift war-zone hospitals of Sri Lanka and Pakistan, she assisted doctors in performing orthopedic surgeries. In Sichuan and Java, she tirelessly rescued helpless disaster victims. Hoping to raise awareness about the living conditions of people in war-torn and impoverished countries, she continues to embody the spirit of Nightingale—dedicating her love, promoting humanitarianism, and serving humanity.
